For nearly four decades, the Middle Tennessee Donors Forum (MTDF) has served as a trusted network for the region’s leading philanthropic organizations. What began in 1985 as informal gatherings among foundation and corporate donors—sharing ideas, successes, and challenges—has grown into a dynamic network of philanthropic leaders working together (alongside nonprofit and community leaders) to build stronger, better-resourced communities across Middle Tennessee.
Now a formalized network of foundation leaders, trustees, and corporate social responsibility professionals, the Middle Tennessee Donors Forum provides a vital space for connection, shared learning, and partnership. Through educational programs, networking events, and collaborative initiatives, members gain valuable insight into emerging trends and strategies that strengthen their philanthropic work.
Guided by a new strategic plan, MTDF remains focused on:
- Enhancing member value through high-quality programs and resources;
- Expanding learning opportunities and access to relevant, data-driven information; and
- Creating deeper collaboration among funders and community partners to address shared challenges.
As MTDF enters this next season, the organization is proud to welcome Andrea Stilwell as the new Executive Director. Andrea brings more than two decades of experience in both the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors, including leadership roles with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Bank of America’s Corporate Social Responsibility team, and Interfaith Dental. Most recently, she served on the Advancement Team at Pope Saint John Paul II Preparatory School.
With a strong background in community engagement and nonprofit management, Andrea is eager to connect with members and advance the Forum’s mission—to support learning, collaboration, and collective impact among Middle Tennessee’s philanthropic leaders.
“The philanthropic fabric of Middle Tennessee is part of what makes this a remarkable place to live,” Andrea says. “I look forward to helping strengthen that network and supporting our members in their vital work.”
With nearly forty years of history and a renewed strategic vision, the Middle Tennessee Donors Forum looks toward an exciting next chapter. Under Andrea’s leadership, MTDF will continue to connect people, ideas, and resources to support the important work happening across the region—strengthening communities and helping make Middle Tennessee a great place to live for everyone.
