Capacity building grants are available across four categories:
Professional Development Training/Workshop Stipends: This category offers funding for training and workshops aimed at improving the skills and knowledge of your staff and leadership. Professional development is essential for nonprofits to stay competitive and innovative in their work. Up to $2,500 may be requested in this category.
Conference Stipends: Conferences provide valuable opportunities for networking, learning about emerging trends and gaining insights from experts in the field. Exposure to fresh perspectives and new resources create opportunities for innovation that can drive positive change within your organization. Up to $2,500 may be requested in this category.
Consulting Services: This grant category supports nonprofits seeking expert advice and consultation to strengthen infrastructure and improve operations. Whether you need help refining your strategic plan, enhancing financial management practices or streamlining organizational processes, consulting services can provide invaluable insights. Up to $5,000 may be requested in this category and a proposed scope of work from your selected consultant is required as part of the application.
Staff Wellness/ Self-Care Programs: The Staff Wellness/Self-Care Programs grant aims to support initiatives focused on the physical and mental wellbeing of your team. Providing access to wellness programs, stress management workshops or self-care initiatives can help prevent burnout, improve staff retention and foster a positive work environment. Up to $3,000 may be requested in this category.

Please also note that if you are not currently receiving funding from The West End Home Foundation, you are required to submit a Letter of Intent. Prior to submission of the Letter of Intent, you must contact Chandra Allen, Program Director at chandra.allen@westendhomefoundation.org.
You must create a new account the first time your organization accesses the application portal. Once your organization has created an account, you will use the account to apply for funding and submit any requested documents, contracts or reports. You will also be able to view your current application and view your organization’s historical records. Please create only one account per organization.
