Residents 1891 – 2013

The West End Home Foundation operated a residential community from 1891 to 2013, providing direct services to more than 500 women. Spinsters and widows, some wealthy and others dispossessed — all shared the common need for assisted living.

Biographies of the residents are organized by their final decade of residence at the home. Within each decade the ladies are listed alphabetically.
